Joy Adams Discusses “Bias in UX” at April InfoSec UX Meetup

We are proud to announce that ProObject Senior UI/UX Design Consultant Joy Adams will be a guest speaker at the InfoSec UX Meetup Friday April 21st. In this talk entitled “Bias in UX,” we look at the science of bias and discuss important design approaches that help ensure your products are built upon fact, not guesswork and heuristics. We look at issues from anthropology, biology, and psychology that UX practitioners face almost every day in our work, and how these insights can be used to build better InfoSec products. Bias is a critical issue that designers, developers, and product managers can all benefit from understanding better.

Joy Adams, an award-winning experience designer and strategist, helps brands of all sizes create seamless experiences. From product interfaces to digital marketing campaigns, Joy works to engage users and meet stakeholder requirements through innovating, user-centric methodology and design. She’s currently focused on solving multifaceted tech problems for the federal government. Brands she’s supported include 21st Century Insurance, Adecco, DHS, Edmonds, Ebay, EPA, Fila, Modis, Microsoft, Oliver Peoples, Pantone, University of Maryland, as well as advanced tech startup ventures and nonprofit organizations. Joy holds a BFA with honors from the School of Visual Arts of NYC in graphic design, branding and two certificates in UX research. She’s been a practitioner of UX for 15 years.
